The Wild Roots Worldschool Winter Break Camp is a 5-day worldschooling programme in the Riviera Maya, Mexico, running from 5 to 9 January 2026. Located on the shores of Playa del Carmen, the camp’s curriculum is strongly centred on Marine Biology and Ecology, with learning activities guided by a marine biologist. The programme involves children in hands-on exploration, including a snorkelling introduction, beach clean-ups, sea life conservation lessons, and cultural activities like exploring cenotes and learning about Aztec/Mayan history and arts.
The children’s programme is a daily drop-off experience, running for a full week. To support family connection, the organisers include a family dinner and offer optional participation in selected field trips for parents and siblings at an extra cost. The base price is $500 per child, which covers all planned activities, guided sessions, and healthy meals. Families are responsible for arranging their own accommodation and daily transportation around the Riviera Maya.
