The Boundless Life Cohort experience is a long-term worldschooling program based in La Barra, Uruguay, nestled within the Punta del Este area. La Barra offers families a serene atmosphere with natural beauty, sun-drenched beaches, and a vibrant arts scene. Its location offers a convenient time zone for families balancing remote work with adventure in South America. Program options include a three-month cohort or a four-week summer getaway. The three-month cohorts run from January to March, April to June, and September to November. Note that, given Uruguay’s Southern Hemisphere location, the January-to-March cohort will take place during their summer. Four-week summer getaways are available in July and August.
The experience integrates four main components: education, housing, community, and a coworking hub. Boundless Education follows a Finnish-inspired, forward-thinking system. The program runs five days a week from 8:45 am to 3:15 pm for children aged 1.5 to 14 years old. Activities are focused on nature and culture, including family beach days at Playa La Posta del Cangrejo, wildlife viewing, and experiencing the local art and cuisine.
