The Boundless Life Cohort experience is a long-term worldschooling program based in Kamakura, Japan, a seaside community often referred to as the “Kyoto of Eastern Japan.” Kamakura offers a tranquil spirit, ancient temples, lush nature, and coastal charm, all while being conveniently close to Tokyo. Program options include a three-month cohort or a four-week summer getaway. The three-month cohorts run from January to March, April to June, and September to November. Four-week summer getaways are available in July and August.
The experience integrates four main components: education, housing, community, and a coworking hub. Boundless Education follows a Finnish-inspired, forward-thinking system. The program runs five days a week from 8:45 am to 3:15 pm for children aged 1.5 to 14 years old. Activities highlight Japanese culture and nature, including visiting Zen Temples and the Great Buddha, exploring Forest Trails, enjoying seaside activities, and experiencing seasonal colours and traditional festivals. Families receive a fully furnished home, and all utilities, high-speed internet, and regular housekeeping are included. Check website for current pricing.
